I am going to high school now. As math has always been my weakness, I purchased the course books in advance. I am plan studying a couple of topics before the classes begin . Any kind of pointers would be highly appreciated that could aid me to start studying real world applications of a radical functions myself.

Algebrator is a very easy to use software and is surely worth a try. You will also find quite a few exciting stuff there. I use it as reference software for my math problems and can say that it has made learning math more fun .
